About this Entry

Tonight I got to feel my son's tiny foot kick for the first time. :D It was one of the most wonderful things ever. And one of the first times I've genuinely laughed in a long time. It amazes me that there is a tiny little boy inside of that woman and that he's half me. It's unreal. I can not wait for him to come out so we can be properly introduced. Please pray for continued safety and for rest for his mother.

Peace and love.

For those of you that don't know, my son had some water in his kidneys at previous ultrasounds that wasn't serious, but was something to watch. I just got a call that the water has disappeared, and he is in, quote, perfect health. Hallelujah!

Thanks to everyone for all their prayers. I know that that's what brought it about.

Peace and love <3

UPDATE: Check out pictures of my boy!

It's time to play... Name Those Icons !

The rules of the game are simple. Try to name as many of the icons as you can from the following picture. The winner gets... recognition!
And maybe a candy bar. Not a full size one, though. One of the mini ones.

♪ It's the most wonderful time of the year... ♪

Fall is the best season. The weather finally gets comfortable for sleeping again. There's harvest stuff to look forward to. The weather slowly becomes too cool for shorts. College students everywhere break out hooded sweatshirts that haven't been washed since they were put away in april. I love it. :D

It is so fall. I go by the weather, not the calendar. Apart from Stonehenge, do you think the ancients had a calendar? No! When the weather got chilly they asked one another, "Dear, what are you going to dress up as for Halloween this year?"

(P.S. The stars are gorgeous tonight. If you are reading this right now, close your laptop, turn off your screen, and go enjoy God's creation.)

Check out this site; it's been described as "Bittorrent for books" but I like to think of it as a giant book swap meet. Essentially, you list books that you own and want to give away. Each books gives you 1/10th of a point. For every ten books listed you get one point, and that point allows you to request a book you want from somebody else. You can earn points in other ways too. The person who owns the book pays for shipping, but other than that, the site is free. Very cool. Check it out today! | Complete explanation of the points system

I've had two seperate people today refer to me as "the man". Not as in "Hey! You the man!" with a thumbs-up gesture. Rather like "Congratulations! You're old now, and, may I remind you, you can no longer enjoy the luxuries of youth!" That kind of "the man".

"Give the man your books"; and, "I'm sure the man doesn't want you climbing on his counter".

I GOT BAPTIZED YESTERDAY!!! It was awesome. Been putting it off for a while because I didn't feel worthy or thought I wasn't at a good time for it. But then I realized any time will never be better than another, so I committed to doing it out of obedience to Jesus. Glad I did.

Afterwards, the guys came over and we played a VERY intense game of Risk. Adam, Jim, Jeremy, Tom, Louis... that was inSANE! Looking forward to Christmas break and a rematch. The world is at stake! :) Here's to wishing you a wonderful semester. *clink*
